Tamborim

Tamborim is a percussion instrument of the membranophone type, consisting of a membrane stretched at one of its ends, over a frame, without resonance box, normally made of metal, acrylic or PVC (polyvinyl chloride). In Brazil, it is used in rhythms of African origin, such as batucada, samba and cucumbi.
